Gopher 5^®

Gopher 5 is a cash lotto game exclusive to Minnesota. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow until someone wins. Gopher 5 drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:26 p.m., immediately following the Daily 3 and Northstar Cash drawings. Tickets must be purchased before 6:10 p.m. to be eligible for that day’s drawing. Check your play slips and tickets carefully. Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

Gopher 5 drawings are shown on KSTC.TV Channel 45 in the Twin Cities, WDIO-10/WIRT-13 in Duluth and Hibbing, KEYC-TV Channel 12 in Mankato and KTTC-TV Channel 10 in Rochester.

Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

How to Play

To play, get a GOPHER 5 play slip from any Minnesota State Lottery retailer and follow the directions on the back. Pick 5 numbers from 1 through 47. Or simply ask the clerk for a GOPHER 5 QUICK PICK and random numbers will be picked for you.

You win the all-cash Gopher 5 jackpot if you match all five numbers drawn. You win other set cash prizes for matching 4, 3 or 2 of the numbers drawn. You can purchase up to 14 draws in advance. Remember, each play costs $1.

Prizes and Odds of Winning

*The approximate overall odds of winning a Gopher 5 prize are 1 in 12.
**The jackpot is paid in cash and will be divided equally among all winning tickets if there is more than one winner. The minimum jackpot amount for a drawing is $100,000.
