Coon Rapids Resident Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize
JULY 8, 2008 —Susan Thompson of Coon Rapids won $100,000 by playing the $100,000 Ultimate Blackjack scratch game.
“I usually buy five $1 tickets — today I decided to buy one $5 ticket instead,” Thompson said. She bought one $100,000 Ultimate Blackjack ticket at Blaine Motomart, 10270 Baltimore St. N.E. in Blaine. “I scratched it right there,” Thompson said. “They scanned it and said you need to get to the Lottery office.” She won the $100,000 top prize, which she claimed at Lottery headquarters yesterday afternoon.
The overall odds of winning a prize by playing the $100,000 Ultimate Blackjack scratch game are 1 in 3.66. One $100,000 top prize remains to be claimed.
For each table, if the total of the two cards in “your hand” beats the “dealer’s hand,” you win the prize shown for that hand. Blackjack pays double (if the total for your hand is 21, win two times the prize for that hand).
If you uncover a “bust” symbol in the dealer’s hand, win all four prizes for that table. You could win up to 16 times!
