Sleepy Eye Resident Wins $13,000 Northstar Cash^® Prize

JULY 2, 2009 — Douglas Domeier of Sleepy Eye won $13,000 playing Northstar Cash. The numbers on his quick-pick ticket matched the winning numbers of 2-15-16-18-27 drawn on June 28, 2009 to win a $13,000 prize. His ticket was one of two sold that matched all five winning numbers for that drawing to split the $26,000 jackpot.

Domeier purchased the winning ticket at Cenex C-Store, 509 W. Main in Sleepy Eye.

The second $13,000 winner from the Northstar Cash drawing on June 28, 2009 (sold in Becker County) has not yet come forward to claim the prize. Other Northstar Cash jackpot prizes are also unclaimed: a ticket worth $57,277 from the drawing on June 19, 2009 (sold in Stearns County) and one worth $28,000 from the drawing on July 16, 2008 (sold in Stearns County). Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn. 

Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
