Chisago City Resident Wins $352,410 Jackpot

JANUARY 7, 2009 - Martin Roman of Chisago City won a Gopher 5® jackpot worth $352,410. He claimed the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Jan. 2.

Roman’s ticket matched all five numbers drawn (1-7-8-25-28) on Dec. 26, 2008 to win the $352,410 jackpot.

SuperAmerica, located at 1086 W. Broadway in Forest Lake, sold the winning ticket.

Gopher 5 is Minnesota’s own cash lotto for which players pick five numbers from 1 to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot of at least $100,000. The odds of matching all five numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 1,533,939. The approximate overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 12.
