$28,000 Northstar Cash^® Prize Claimed One Day Before Expiration

JULY 16, 2009 — On July 15, 2009, Craig Scandinato of Princeton claimed the $28,000 Northstar Cash jackpot prize from the drawing on July 16, 2008, one day before it was set to expire. Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim prizes.

The fifth line on his five-line ticket matched the winning numbers of 1-5-9-11-17 drawn on July 16, 2008 to win the $28,000 jackpot.

The winning ticket was sold at Corky’s Gas & Bait, 108 Broadway St. E. in Rockville.

To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn. 

Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
