Attention Players: Check Your Powerball® Tickets

$200,000 Powerball Ticket Expires Soon

JANUARY 10, 2008 — Time is running out for the holder of a $200,000 winning Powerball ticket purchased in Dakota County from the Jan. 17, 2007 drawing.

The prize must be claimed by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008. If not claimed, the prize money will be transferred to the state’s General Fund, which funds programs and services that benefit all Minnesotans, including education and transportation.

Players who have purchased Powerball tickets in Dakota County within the past year, but have not yet checked them should do so immediately. The winning numbers from the Powerball drawing held on Jan. 17 were 16-35-49-50-52 and the Powerball was 31.

The holder of this ticket should immediately sign the back of the ticket, put it in a safe place and call the Lottery’s Public Relations department at (651) 635-8271 to make arrangements for validation and payment.

A Powerball ticket worth $200,000 from the Nov. 24, 2007 drawing sold in Dakota County is also unclaimed. The winning numbers from the Nov. 24 drawing were 1-7-13-23-35 and the Powerball was 19.

Players have one year from the drawing date to claim all Lottery prizes.
