Willmar Resident Wins $390,772 Jackpot

JANUARY 25, 2008 — Yesterday, Bruce Chapin of Willmar claimed a $390,772 Gopher 5® jackpot at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville.

The first line on his five-line quick-pick ticket matched all five numbers drawn on Jan. 22 to win the jackpot (2-8-10-28-39).

Deby’s, located at 2324 East Highway 12 in Willmar, sold the winning ticket.

Gopher 5 is Minnesota’s own cash lotto for which players pick five numbers from 1 to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot of at least $100,000. The odds of matching all five numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 1,533,939. The approximate overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 12.
