Adrian Resident Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize

SEPTEMBER 4, 2008 - As he headed home for lunch on Sept. 2, Adrian resident Scott Olson stopped at Keith’s Grocery & Bake Shoppe at 219 Main Ave. in Adrian and purchased a Money Roll scratch ticket.

At home, Olson scratched the ticket. He revealed three “bill” symbols in a row in game 2, so he knew that the ticket was a winner — he just didn’t know how much. “Everything was scratched except the prize — I like to save it for the end,” Olson said. After revealing the $100,000 prize, Olson said, “I sat there and looked at it and tried to figure out every angle. I couldn’t believe it.”

He drove back to the store to have the ticket scanned. Olson was told he needed to claim the prize at Lottery headquarters in Roseville, which he did on Sept. 3.

Money Roll is a $5 game that offers 12 chances to win a prize up to $100,000. Four of five $100,000 prizes remain in the game. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.57.

In game 1, match any of Your Numbers to the Winning Numbers and win the prize shown for that number. A “$$” symbol doubles the prize. Win the prize shown in game 2 by revealing three identical symbols in the same row across. Reveal three identical amounts in game 3 and win that amount. In game 4, find three identical amounts and win that amount. Two identical amounts and a “$$” symbol double that amount. Reveal a “$25” symbol in the Quick Cash Bonus box and win $25 automatically.
