Hopkins Resident Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize

AUGUST 20, 2009 — Robert Olson of Hopkins won a $100,000 prize by playing the Lottery’s WPT® Texas Hold ’Em® scratch game. Olson claimed the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Aug. 19, 2009.

Holiday, located at 2801 Hopkins Crossroad Road in Minnetonka, sold the winning ticket.

WPT® Texas Hold ’Em® is a $5 scratch game that offers a $100,000 top prize. There are currently two of five $100,000 prizes remaining. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.66.

Here’s how to play: To play each table, use “your two cards” and the “community cards” to make your best 5-card poker hand. Then use “their two cards” and the “community cards” to make their best 5-card poker hand. If, at the same table, your best 5-card poker hand beats their best 5-card poker hand, you win the prize shown for that table. “All In” Bonus – If any of “your chip counts” is more than “their chip,” you win the prize for that chip. If you uncover “All In,” you automatically win all 11 prizes on the ticket!
