Rockford Resident Wins $29,000 Northstar Cash Prize

FEBRUARY 19, 2008 — A resident of Rockford won the $29,000 Northstar Cash jackpot from the Feb. 13, 2008 drawing.

Mitchell Jerde claimed the prize on Friday, Feb. 15 at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville. The third line on his three-line quick-pick ticket matched all five winning numbers (1-4-20-25-29) to win the jackpot.

Jerde purchased the winning ticket at Casey’s General Store, 8431 State Highway 55 in Rockford.

A Northstar Cash jackpot worth $25,000 from the drawing on July 25, 2007 (sold in Ramsey County) and a Northstar Cash jackpot worth $27,000 from the drawing on Feb. 16, 2008 (sold in Hennepin County) have not yet been claimed. Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn. 

Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
