Minneapolis Man Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize

Terry DvorskyFEBRUARY 27, 2008 — Terry Dvorsky of Minneapolis claimed a $100,000 Lottery prize that he won by playing the Cash Explosion scratch game.

Dvorsky purchased the winning ticket at Cub Foods, 701 W. Broadway Ave. in Minneapolis, on Feb. 25. When Dvorsky got home from the store and played the game, he initially thought he won $100, but as he continued to scratch the ticket, he revealed three more zeros to win $100,000! “Holy mackerel,” Dvorsky thought. “I can’t believe it!”

Dvorsky is no stranger to lottery luck — he also won a $25,000 scratch game prize in 2000.

Cash Explosion is a $5 Scratch Game that offers players a chance to win a $100,000 top prize. Six of seven $100,000 prizes have not been claimed. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.64.

To play, simply scratch the play area. If you match any of Your Numbers to any of the Winning Numbers, you win the prize shown for that number. Reveal a dollar symbol to automatically win the prize shown. If you uncover a “$$” symbol, you win 10 times the prize shown. Don’t forget the bonus boxes: get a coin symbol and instantly win $25, or a money bag symbol to win $50.
