Minneapolis Man Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize
SEPTEMBER 11, 2009 - Steve Sweeney of Minneapolis won a $100,000 prize by playing the Lottery’s Border Battles scratch game.
Sweeney purchased the winning ticket at SuperAmerica, located at 5101 – 34th Ave. S. in Minneapolis.
Border Battles is a $5 scratch game that offers players 18 chances to win a $100,000 top prize. Currently four of five $100,000 prizes remain in the game. Overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.63.
To play, scratch the play areas. In the Kicking Game, if you uncover a Field Goal symbol, you instantly win $15. In the Kicking Game Overtime, if you uncover a Field Goal symbol, you instantly win $25! To play Offense: If Your Team’s score is higher in the same quarter than Their Team’s score, you win the prize for that quarter. To play Defense: If Your Team gets more tackles in the same quarter than Their Team, you win the prize for that quarter. In the End Zone Celebration, if any of Your Player Numbers match any of the Touchdown Numbers, you win the prize below the matching number(s). If you uncover a Victory “V” symbol, you automatically win that prize.
