Sauk Rapids Resident Wins $36,664
Northstar Cash® Prize
SEPTEMBER 16, 2008 - A Sauk Rapids resident won half of the $73,328 Northstar Cash jackpot from the Sept. 10 drawing.
Verna Hagert claimed the $36,664 prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Sept. 16. Her ticket was one of two purchased for the Sept. 10 drawing to match all five winning numbers, 4-7-8-20-31, to split the jackpot. The other $36,664 share was claimed by Mary Erickson of Bird Island.
The winning ticket was purchased at Holiday Stationstore, located at 3 N. Benton Drive in Sauk Rapids.
A Northstar Cash jackpot worth $28,000 from the drawing on July 16, 2008 (ticket sold in Stearns County) has not yet been claimed. Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.
Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
