Anoka Resident Wins $250,000 Scratch Game Prize

MARCH 5, 2008 — Chris Hagman of Anoka said that he’s driven by the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville and thought, “I hope I have a reason to walk through those doors someday.” A Casino Royale scratch ticket that he purchased gave him 250,000 reasons to walk through those doors this morning.

Hagman stopped at East Main SuperAmerica, located at 657 E. Main St. in Anoka, last night and purchased scratch tickets. A Casino Royale ticket turned out to be a $250,000 winner.

When he shared his good news, he was met with disbelief. “Nobody actually believes you when you tell them,” Hagman said.

“It’s funny, I always had the feeling that I was going to hit a big one — and I did,” he said.

There are two of four $250,000 prizes remaining to be claimed. The overall odds of winning a prize when playing Casino Royale are 1 in 3.42.
