St. Paul Resident Wins $75,446 Northstar Cash® Jackpot
 MARCH 14, 2008 — While making a routine stop at Rainbow Foods, 1540 New Brighton Blvd., in Minneapolis today, Susan Lundholm of St. Paul decided to have her Lottery tickets checked. When the customer service clerk scanned her Northstar Cash ticket, a smaller ticket printed out. “What does that mean?” Lundholm asked. “I think it means you won something big,” replied the clerk.
Thinking she won a couple thousand dollars, Lundholm went to the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville to claim her prize. It wasn’t until she arrived at the Lottery office that she realized she won a $75,446 jackpot! “That’s when I started screaming,” she said. “I literally couldn’t believe it!”
Lundholm says she’s a fan of the Minnesota-only games, like Northstar Cash, because of their “great odds.” The game proved to have “great odds” for Lundholm as she claimed the jackpot today.
The fifth line of Lundholm’s quick-pick ticket matched all five winning numbers (1-11-19-25-30) from the Northstar Cash drawing on March 11.
A Northstar Cash jackpot worth $25,000 from the drawing on July 25, 2007 (sold in Ramsey County) has not yet been claimed. Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.
Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
