Maple Grove Resident Wins $50,000 Lottery Prize
SEPTEMBER 21, 2009 — Nancy Eliason of Maple Grove won a $50,000 prize by playing the Lottery’s $500,000 High Roller scratch game. She claimed the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Sept. 21.
Freedom Valu Center, located at 12650 Bass Lake Road in Plymouth, sold the winning ticket.
$500,000 High Roller is a $20 ticket that offers a $500,000 top prize. There are currently four of four $500,000 top prizes and four of five $50,000 prizes remaining. Overall odds of winning a prize by playing the $500,000 High Roller scratch game are 1 in 2.98.
Proceeds from the Minnesota State Lottery benefit all Minnesotans. Since 1990, the Lottery has raised more than $1.7 billion for state programs. The General Fund has received over $1 billion to help fund important functions such as education, public safety and health and human services. Another $677 million has funded critical environmental programs.
