Columbia Heights Resident Wins $200,000 Powerball® Prize
SEPTEMBER 22, 2009 — Marcia Lee of Columbia Heights won a $200,000 Powerball prize from Saturday’s drawing.
The third line on Lee’s ticket matched the first five numbers drawn on Sept. 19 to win the $200,000 prize. She arrived at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Sept. 21 to claim her prize.
Scenic Pines Store, located at 29334 County Road 52 in Bigfork, sold the winning ticket.
The winning Powerball numbers drawn on Sept. 19 were 5-24-25-30-49 (the Powerball was 23).
Proceeds from the Minnesota State Lottery benefit all Minnesotans. Since 1990, the Lottery has raised more than $1.7 billion for state programs. The General Fund has received over $1 billion to help fund important functions such as education, public safety and health and human services. Another $677 million has funded critical environmental programs.
