Minneapolis Resident Wins $336,386 Jackpot

OCTOBER 15, 2009 — W.J. Kilbo of Minneapolis won a Gopher 5® jackpot worth $336,386. He claimed the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Oct. 15.

Kilbo’s ticket matched all five numbers drawn on Oct. 12 (9-22-24-41-43) to win the $336,386 jackpot.

Cub Foods, located at 3245 County Road 10 in Brooklyn Center, sold the winning ticket.

Gopher 5 is Minnesota’s own cash lotto for which players pick five numbers from 1 to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot of at least $100,000. The odds of matching all five numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 1,533,939. The approximate overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 12.

Proceeds from the Minnesota State Lottery benefit all Minnesotans. Since 1990, the Lottery has raised more than $1.7 billion for state programs. The General Fund has received over $1 billion to help fund important functions such as education, public safety and health and human services. Another $677 million has funded critical environmental programs.
