$100,000 Lottery Win is a Miracle for a New Ulm Man
APRIL 15, 2008 — Daryl Hagberg of New Ulm arrived at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville today to claim a $100,000 Lottery prize that he won by playing the Cash Explosion® scratch game.
"It’s a miracle,” he said as he claimed the prize in disbelief. “I just can’t believe it and I won’t believe it until I see the check and it’s in my bank account!” he added.
New Ulm Quick Mart, located at 1400 N. Broadway in New Ulm, sold the winning ticket.
Cash Explosion is a $5 scratch game that offers players a chance to win a $100,000 top prize. Five of seven $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 3.64.
To play, simply scratch the play area. If you match any of Your Numbers to any of the Winning Numbers, you win the prize shown for that number. Reveal a dollar symbol to automatically win the prize shown. If you uncover a “$$” symbol, you win 10 times the prize shown. Don’t forget the bonus boxes: get a coin symbol and instantly win $25, or a money bag symbol to win $50.
