Minnesota State Lottery Hooks Up With Lund® Boats

Offering new scratch game and second-chance drawing, giving away two Lund® boat packages

The $5 Hook, Lund® and Sinker scratch game goes on sale April 22 at Lottery retailers throughout the state, offering instant cash prizes up to $100,000. But the real catch is two Lund® 1850 Tyee boat packages — valued at $66,621 — which players can win through a second-chance drawing. 

“Recognized for building the best equipped, smartest design and most durable boats in the industry, the Lottery is excited to partner with a well-respected Minnesota company to offer these fantastic boat packages,” said Lottery Executive Director Clint Harris.

Each boat package, provided by Lund® Boats, includes a 2008 Lund® 1850 Tyee boat, a 2008 Mercury 175XL Verado 4-stroke motor and a 2008 Shoreland’r painted custom bunk trailer. The Lottery is paying the required state and federal tax withholdings, bringing the total value to $66,621. 

“Fishing is a favorite pastime for many Minnesotans,” Harris added. “Many environmental projects, including those that improve the water quality of Minnesota lakes, rivers and tributaries, have received Lottery proceeds to help ensure that Minnesotans can continue to enjoy the sport for years to come.”

To enter the second-chance drawing, players can mail in non-winning Hook, Lund® and Sinker scratch tickets or enter them on the Lottery’s Web site at mnlottery.com. Entries must be received by June 12, 2008 to qualify for the first drawing and by Sept. 16, 2008 to qualify for the second drawing. In addition to the Lund® boat packages, seven $500 cash prizes will also be awarded in each drawing.
