Cambridge Resident Wins $110,000 Jackpot
April 29 - Yesterday, Roy Smith of Cambridge claimed a $110,000 Gopher 5® jackpot at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville.
Smith’s single-line quick-pick ticket matched all five numbers drawn (21-22-37-44-45) on April 25, 2008 to win the $110,000 jackpot.
Cub Foods, located at 100 Opportunity Blvd. N. in Cambridge, sold the winning ticket.
Gopher 5 is Minnesota’s own cash lotto for which players pick five numbers from 1 to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot of at least $100,000. The odds of matching all five numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 1,533,939. The approximate overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 12.
