Minneapolis Resident Wins $92,811 Northstar Cash® Jackpot
NOVEMBER 10, 2009 — Minneapolis resident James Scroggins Jr. won a $92,811 Northstar Cash jackpot. The second set of numbers on his five-line quick-pick ticket matched the winning numbers of 4-7-9-15-18 drawn on Nov. 6 to win the jackpot.
The winning ticket was purchased at Westwood Liquor, 2304 Louisiana Ave. S. in St. Louis Park.
Scroggins claimed the prize at Lottery headquarters in Roseville on Nov. 9.
Two Northstar Cash jackpots remain unclaimed: one worth $63,148 from the drawing on Oct. 10, 2009 (ticket sold in Washington County) and a jackpot worth $26,000 from the drawing on Nov. 8, 2009 (ticket sold in St. Louis County). Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.
To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn.
Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
