Rockford Man Wins $36,694 Northstar Cash® Jackpot

NOVEMBER 16, 2009 — Wayne Jay of Rockford won a $36,694 Northstar Cash jackpot from Saturday’s drawing. The second set of numbers on Jay’s two-line quick-pick ticket matched all five numbers drawn (6-10-15-22-25) on Nov. 14 to hit the jackpot. He claimed the prize at the Lottery’s headquarters in Roseville on Nov. 16.

Casey’s General Store, located at 8431 State Highway 55 in Rockford, sold the winning ticket.

A Northstar Cash jackpot worth $63,148 from the drawing on Oct. 10, 2009 (ticket sold in Washington County) has not yet been claimed. Northstar Cash players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

To play Northstar Cash, players select five numbers from 1 to 31. Matching the five numbers drawn wins the jackpot, which starts at $25,000 and grows until it is won. Players also win by matching 2, 3 or 4 of the numbers drawn. Northstar Cash drawings are conducted daily after the Daily 3® drawing. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on the day of the drawing.
