Minneapolis Resident Wins $200,000 Lottery Prize

MAY 21, 2009 — Becky Northrup of Minneapolis won a $200,000 prize by playing the Lottery’s $200,000 Money Match scratch game.

Northrup purchased the winning ticket on her way to work. The first thing that she uncovered as she began scratching the ticket was the $200,000 win. She was so excited and surprised that “I couldn’t even cry,” she said. After realizing that the ticket was a winner, Northrup took the day off of work to claim the prize.

SuperAmerica, located at 5101 – 34th Ave. S. in Minneapolis, sold the winning ticket. $200,000 Money Match is a $10 scratch game that offers 17 chances to win up to $200,000. There are currently two of four $200,000 prizes and five of six $50,000 prizes remaining to be claimed. The overall odds of winning a prize by playing the $200,000 Money Match scratch game are 1 in 3.54.

To play, scratch the play area. If you reveal two identical symbols in the same game, you win the prize for that game. In the Bonus area, if you uncover a prize amount then you win that amount.
