Woodbury Resident Wins $100,000 Lottery Prize

JUNE 8, 2009 — Vincent Bell of Woodbury won $100,000 by playing the Lottery’s $100,000 Treasure Hunt scratch game.

SuperAmerica, located at 5804 Neal Ave. in Oak Park Heights, sold the winning ticket.

When Bell played the ticket, he first uncovered that it was a winner, and then he began to uncover the prize amount. “I thought, ‘Oh, I won $100.’ Then I kept scratching and uncovering zeroes.”

Bell said that he was shocked by the win. “I’m still shocked,” he said as he claimed the prize at the Lottery’s office in Roseville on June 8.

The overall odds of winning a prize by playing the $100,000 Treasure Hunt scratch game are 1 in 3.53. There are currently four of six $100,000 top prizes remaining to be claimed.

The $100,000 Treasure Hunt scratch game is a $5 game that offers a $100,000 top prize. To play, match one or more of “your numbers” to any of the “winning numbers” to win the prize(s) shown below the matching number. If you find a cash symbol, you automatically win the prize. If you uncover a moneybag symbol, you win double the prize! In the bonus spot, uncover any dollar amount to automatically win that amount.
