Casey’s Scratch Sales Consumer Promotion – Official Drawing Rules

Minnesota State Lottery and Casey’s

1.        To enter, players must mail in at least a $5 combination of non-winning Minnesota State Lottery Scratch tickets purchased at any participating Minnesota Casey’s store between May 6, 2008, and June 2, 2008. No facsimiles or photocopies accepted. Players may enter more than once. Entries postmarked prior to May 6, 2008, will be invalid.

2.        Players must fill out the back of at least one (1) of the Scratch tickets with the person’s name, address and phone number including area code. Incomplete and unreadable entries will be disqualified.

3.        Entries must be included in an envelope no larger than 10” x 5” and mailed to: Casey’s Lottery Promotion, Minnesota State Lottery, P.O. Box 130697, Roseville, MN 55113-0009. Entries must be sent through First Class regular U.S. Mail. No drop-off or special delivery entries will be accepted. Entries must be received by June 9, 2008.

4.         An entry will be considered invalid if it does not meet all of the requirements of these rules.

5.        Employees (including immediate family or household members) of the Minnesota State Lottery and employees (including immediate family or household members) of Casey’s are ineligible to participate. Winners will be selected and eligibility determined by the Minnesota State Lottery. The decision is final, binding and conclusive in all matters.

6.         Only one (1) winner per household. An entry will be considered invalid if the person whose name appears on the ticket, or a member of the immediate family of the person (spouse, child, brother, sister or parent) residing in the same household, has been previously drawn.

7.         Winning entries will be drawn for the following prizes from the Minnesota State Lottery drawing box at Lottery Headquarters by a Minnesota State Lottery representative on or about June 10, 2008. Prizes will be awarded in the order they are selected. The first and second entries selected will receive $1,000.00 in Scratch tickets (First Prize). The third, forth and fifth entries selected will receive $500.00 in Scratch tickets (Second Prize). The sixth through fifteenth entries selected will receive a Lottery premium package that includes two (2) Lottery sweatshirts, two (2) Lottery mugs, two (2) sleeves of Lottery golf balls, one (1) fleece throw and a $50 Casey’s gift card (Third Prize).

8.         Prizes will be mailed to winner’s address.

9.         The Lottery provides no warranties, guarantees or representations of any kind, express or implied, arising by law or otherwise, including, without any limitation, any implied warranty or fitness for a particular purpose or any implied warranty arising from course of performance, course of dealing or usage or trade in relation to merchandise prizes won in this promotion.

10.     By submitting an entry, the player consents to full use of their name and address for publicity and public relations purposes with no further compensation.

11.     Odds of winning will be determined by the total number of entries.

12.     No cash equivalents will be awarded. Prizes are not exchangeable or, otherwise, transferable. Federal, state or local taxes on any prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

13.     Following the drawing, all entries will be retained by the Minnesota State Lottery for a period of 60 days following the drawing date.

14.     All applicable federal, state or local laws apply. Lottery players must be 18 years of age or older to purchase Lottery tickets or to enter this drawing.

16.     The name of the winners and prizes won may be obtained following the promotion by writing to the Minnesota State Lottery, 2645 Long Lake Road, Roseville, MN 55113. Winners will be posted on the Lottery’s website at www.mnlottery.com.
