When I try to enter my scratch ticket in a 2nd Chance, I get a message that the ticket is not valid. What should I do?
  • First, make sure the ticket you are holding is not a winning scratch ticket. You can check your tickets at any Lottery retail location or within the mobile app. Only non-winning scratch tickets may be entered for a 2nd Chance.
  • Next, for scratch tickets, make sure you fill in the game number in the first box, then the 2nd Chance entry code in the second box. For lotto, simply fill in the entry code in the entry box.
  • For lotto games verify the date of purchase matches the eligible date range of purchase for the 2nd Chance you are attempting to enter.
  • Then, check that the numbers you are entering exactly match what's on your ticket. Do NOT include any dashes (-), spaces or other characters. When entering codes that contain letters, use ALL CAPS.
  • It’s possible that your entry may appear to be invalid because of old data in your browser cache. We recommend clearing your cache and cookies to remove old data. Sometimes you can clear the cache just for the page you’re on by holding down the shift key and pressing Enter or Return.
  • Finally, if you've verified these steps and you believe that the ticket you’re trying to enter is a non-winning ticket for an active 2nd Chance contest, you may contact the Lottery's Customer Support staff at 651-635-8273, select option #1. Customer Support can be reached Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Note: To view ticket entries please log into your account and select Entry History to see all your current entries.

Can I enter a 2nd Chance more than one time?

YES! You may enter a 2nd Chance as many times as you wish. However, each entry requires the use of a separate, qualified, non-winning ticket.

How can I be sure that my entry was successfully submitted? Can I verify which tickets I have entered?

To view ticket entries please log into your account and select Entry History on the website or app to see all your current entries.

Note: If you cannot see your entries for current drawings, please contact the Lottery's Customer Support Division at 651-635-8273. Customer Support can be reached Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm.

Do I need to keep my scratch ticket once I have entered a 2nd Chance?

No, you do not need to keep your tickets once you have entered them in the 2nd Chance drawing. We recommend checking your entry history in your player account to confirm the entry was successful before tossing out your ticket.

Can I delete an entry?

No, once your entry has been successfully submitted, it cannot be deleted. All entries are final.
