A BIG congratulations are in order for Teresa Leishman of Circle Pines who won $100,000 in the Lottery’s BIGGEST second-chance contest ever!
Teresa entered Minnesota’s second-chance Powerball contest with tickets that she went in on with eight of her friends and tickets she purchased with her husband. So, when she saw her name on the Lottery’s website as the $100,000 winner she was unsure who she won the prize with.
After getting details from the Lottery, Teresa was able to verify that her winning entry was a ticket she purchased with her friends. “I text everybody as soon as I got home,” recalled Teresa. “I was happy I got to share it with them!” she added. Her husband, on the other hand, was like, “That’s enough hugging for $7,000!”
Teresa said she was confident the group was going to win someday. “I kept telling it was going to happen,” she said. Adding, “This is just a taste of what’s to come!” The group of nine plans to be back for a big Mega Millions jackpot win.
