January:
Aaron S. of Brainerd
"Our parents always put MN Lottery Scratchers in our stockings. We open presents on Christmas Eve but get our stocking filled by “Santa” every Christmas morning. Even as adults we always look forward to the scratchers and scratch them all while sitting together. Never won anything big, but it’s always a fun family tradition." We think so too, Aaron. We hope you get a big winner this holiday season!
February:
Daniel B. of Bagley
Daniel "couldn't believe it" when he won $2,000! Congratulations on your win - and this win too!
March:
Joanne D. of Shakopee
A win is a win! Joanne shared "I don't win big but I did win $50 on Minnesota Vikings SKOL." That's a win in our book - congrats, Joanne!
April:
Michael A. of Brooklyn Park
"Every year for Christmas my parents have a hard time trying to figure out what to give so now they give us 3 boys all lottery tickets with our families. We all sit around and do the scratch offs and see who wins the most money. We all come dressed in our matching jammies and play the scratch offs. It's tradition now." Thanks for sharing your story Mike! We love this tradition - and those matching jammies!
May:
Lisa W. of Lino Lakes
"Gotta play to win," Lisa said. Entering the Share Your Lottery Contest paid off for her and she was our May winner.
June:
Christina G. of Woodbury
Christina plays the lottery as "an homage to my grandma, Betty because she loved playing the lottery." She's got big plans for when she hits it big: "My wish is to buy a beach house on The Outer Banks of North Carolina like my grandparents did for the family...I would name the beach house "Cloud Nine" because grandma always said she was on cloud nine when she was at the beach." What an awesome story!
July:
Lindsey S. of St. Paul
"My husband and I love doing scratchers together! Every special occasion or date night involves a few crossword or bingo lottos each. Even if we don’t win, it’s still fun!" Now, that's a fun date night! Congrats, Lindsey!
August:
Vern L. of Brandon
Vern has a story that a lot of players can relate to: "I almost won once. I had five numbers along with a Powerball number." We hope you hit the jackpot soon, Vern! Congrats on this win!
September:
Jawaan C. of Fergus Falls
"I enjoy playing MN Lottery games. It's definitely more fun than going to the casino!" said Jawaan. We couldn't agree more - congrats on your win, Jawaan!
October:
Pamela D. of Rosemount
"I dream of winning the big one, so my husband can retire and we can buy our dream home up north on a lake. We would fish all day on our new pontoon. At night we would sit by the campfire and eat s'mores. What a retirement that would be!!!" We're crossing our fingers for a dream come true. Congratulations, Pamela!
November:
Mark K. of Richfield
It was a close call for Mark who regularly played Hot Lotto back in the day. “I picked my own 5 sets of numbers on a play slip and got 5 quick picks on separate tickets to even it out. The next morning, I checked my tickets and I started to get sweaty... nervous... excited and ready to faint because I matched four balls in a row! But then I missed the fifth ball by two (I picked 37 but it was 39). Then I matched the Hot Ball! I thought HOLY SMOKES. It's gotta be $20,000 or something big. It almost haunts me to this day knowing that I was so close to winning $11 million. Instead, I won $3,000.” These days Mark says he likes to try his luck at Lotto America. Congrats, Mark!
December:
Lori H. of St. Cloud
Lori was lucky enough to enter and win our Earth Defenders Free Contest! "Sharing my story led to an incredibly fun day at the Allianz Field. It was the first soccer game [I've] attended. I had the good fortune to sit next to a long time player. She was so Minnesota nice and gave play by play explanations! It was a great learning experience and Minnesota won! Love the fun extra chances to win." Way to go, Lori!
