Summer Brings Lots of Luck to Minnesota Lottery Players Over the Weekend
A Powerball Ticket Worth $1 Million Sold in Cottage Grove and a North 5 Ticket Worth Nearly $100,000 sold in Shakopee
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (June 23, 2025) — Summer not only brought the heat but lots of luck to Minnesota Lottery players in the Twin Cities over the weekend.
A Powerball® ticket purchased at the Cottage Grove Holiday, located at 6921 Pine Arbor Drive, for the June 21 drawing matched the first five winning numbers to win $1 million. The winning Powerball numbers drawn on June 21 were 3 – 16 – 32 – 52 – 62 and the Powerball was 24. Cottage Grove Holiday earns a $5,000 bonus for selling the $1 million winning ticket.
The good fortune didn’t stop there. A North 5 ticket worth $99,574 was sold at Holiday Stationstore in Shakopee for the June 20 drawing. The winning North 5 numbers drawn on June 20 were 4 – 20 – 26 – 30 – 33. Holiday Stationstore earns a $995 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
In Minnesota, lottery players have one year to claim prizes. Minnesota Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.
The names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data. Unless the winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released.
The Powerball jackpot for Monday, June 23 is an estimated $128 million. Tickets must be purchased by 9 p.m. on drawing days. The North 5 jackpot for Monday, June 23 is an estimated $29,000. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on drawing days.
