For big prizes, Daily 3 tips the odds more in your favor. With eight different ways to play, you can win by matching one, two or all three numbers.

Daily 3 drawings are held at 6:26 p.m. seven days a week. To be eligible for that day’s drawing, you must purchase your Daily 3 tickets before 6:10 p.m. Please check your play slips and tickets carefully. Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

Daily 3 drawings are shown on KSTC-TV Channel 45 in the Twin Cities, WDIO-10/WIRT-13 in Duluth and Hibbing, KEYC-TV Channel 12 in Mankato and KTTC-TV Channel 10 in Rochester. Players have one year from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.

How to Play

Get a DAILY 3 play slip from any Minnesota State Lottery retailer and follow the directions on the back. Just choose your numbers, your play type and your wager. Or simply ask the clerk for a DAILY 3 QUICK PICK and random numbers will be picked for you. 

You can wager as little as 50 cents per play. Odds of winning a cash prize vary from 1 in 10 to 1 in 1,000. Up to 14 draws can be purchased in advance. Remember, your cost increases for each draw you add.

Play Types

First Digit: Pick 1 number. To win, match the first number drawn.

Front Pair: Pick 2 numbers. To win, match the first 2 numbers drawn in exact order.

Back Pair: Pick 2 numbers. To win, match the last 2 numbers drawn in exact order.

Straight: Pick 3 numbers. To win, match all 3 numbers drawn in exact order.

3-Way Box: Pick 3 numbers, 2 that are the same. To win, match all 3 numbers drawn in any order.

6-Way Box: Pick 3 different numbers. To win, match all 3 numbers drawn in any order.

Straight/3-Way Box: Pick 3 numbers, 2 that are the same. To win, match all 3 numbers drawn in any order. To win more, match all three numbers drawn in exact order.

Straight/6-Way Box: Pick 3 different numbers. To win, match all 3 numbers drawn in any order. To win more, match all 3 numbers drawn in exact order.
