Say I’MN to Minnesnowta. Some say winter in Minnesota is cold. The rest of us know that it’s actually “refreshing.” The mosquitos are finally gone and it’s time to put on some warm socks and enjoy all the good things that a Minnesota winter has to offer.
Through the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund, lottery dollars have helped expand outdoor recreational opportunities, like hiking. While you are enjoying the sights and sounds of a winter hike, you may not know it, but lottery dollars are helping to make your experience even better.

Lottery dollars at work: More than half of Minnesota’s state trails have benefitted from ENRTF support. Here are just a few of those incredible trails: the Gitchi-Gami State Trail in northeastern Minnesota, Gateway State Trail and Brown’s Creek State Trail near the Twin Cities, Paul Bunyan State Trail in northern Minnesota, Casey Jones State Trail in southwestern Minnesota, Glacial Lakes State Trail in central Minnesota, and Root River State Trail in southeastern Minnesota.
