2022 began with two new Raffle millionaires and brought in our first Mega Millions jackpot winner. We met up with a record breaking number of players at the Great Minnesota Get Together and ended the year by sending one very lucky social media follower off to NYC to ring in the New Year.

So, before we say goodbye, let’s take a final look in the rearview mirror at some of the highlights of 2022.

April brought Minnesota their first Mega Millions jackpot winner and it was a doozie. Learn more about the couple that claimed the $66.9 million win.

They weren’t the only big lotto game winners in 2022. Six players claimed $1 million lotto game prizes in 2022 and one Gopher 5 player slid in with a $902,788 win.

More than 28 million scratch tickets were cashed in for prizes from $1 all the way up to $500,000. Minnesota players across the state raked in over $340 million!

There are always more ways to win when you play the lottery.

Ever entered a scratch ticket for a 2nd Chance to win? Thousands of players have, and 540 of them won during 2022! They scored Vikings season tickets, lottery merch and big cash prizes. Check out what you could win this year.

A heck of a lot of players entered FREE Giveaways over the year. Over 250 won scratch tickets, Twins and Timberwolves tickets, and more just by clicking “SUBMIT.”

243 Social Media followers won prizes by entering free sweepstakes, including Jared Jank who entered our most popular social sweepstakes to win a trip to NYC for NYE.

We were out at the Winter Carnival, Beer Dabbler, Hot Dash run, Gopher games, the Minnesota State Fair and lots more. During 2022 we met up with 77,000 lottery fans. We’re looking forward to meeting up with you this year.

Our 3000 retailers were winners too! Retailers earned over $49 million in commissions and incentives in 2022. Check in at your lottery retailer - they’re always excited to see you.

The State of Minnesota was the biggest winner of all! In 2022, over $170 million went back to the state to help protect and preserve Minnesota’s environment in all 87 counties and contribute to the State’s General Fund, to support state programs including education, public safety and health & human services. When you play, Minnesotans win!
