ROSEVILLE, Minn. (April 17, 2025) — The Minnesota Lottery is celebrating their latest $1 million winner on its 35th anniversary (April 17) that recognizes how dreams have come true for millions of people while generating revenue for Minnesota’s environment.

A Powerball ticket purchased at Holiday Stationstore in Minnetonka (2801 Hopkins Crossroad) matched the first five winning numbers drawn on April 16 to win $1 million. The business earns a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The winning Powerball numbers drawn on April 16 were 20 – 24 – 42 – 43 – 49 and the Powerball was 19.

Minnesota Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. In Minnesota, lottery players have one year to claim prizes. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.

The names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data. Unless the winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released.
