A Winning Weekend in Minnesota: Three Big Lottery Prizes Won
Two $50,000 Powerball Wins and $276,186 North 5 Jackpot Awarded
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (June 2, 2025) — Minnesota lottery players struck it big over the weekend with three major prizes awarded in Saturday night’s drawings.
One lucky North 5 player hit the jackpot to win a $276,186 prize on a ticket purchased at The Corner Store in Inver Grove Heights (3015 80th St. E.). The Corner Store earns a $1,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.
Powerball also brought excitement with two tickets sold to each win $50,000. The winning tickets were sold at Winners Corner in Newport (1594 Hastings Ave.) and Shooters Billiard Club & Cafe in Burnsville (1934 East Highway 13).
In Minnesota, lottery players have one year to claim prizes. Minnesota Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.
Unless the winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released. As of Sept. 1, 2021, the names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data.
The Powerball jackpot has reset to $20 million for tonight’s drawing after a jackpot-winning ticket was sold in California on Saturday. The North 5 jackpot is an estimated $27,000 for tonight’s drawing. Visit www.mnlottery.com for more information and official rules.
