News Release: Big Lottery Wins in Hastings and Lake City

Big Lottery Wins in Hastings and Lake City over the Weekend

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (Feb. 24, 2025) — Minnesota had two big lottery wins over the weekend.

A $50,000 winning Powerball ticket was sold at Speedway in Hastings for the Feb. 22 drawing and a $94,949 North 5 jackpot-winning ticket was sold at Kwik Trip in Lake City for the Feb. 21 drawing.

To win a $50,000 Powerball prize, a player must match four of the first five winning numbers plus the Powerball number. The winning Powerball numbers drawn on Feb. 22 were 7 – 18 – 22 – 50 – 65 and the Powerball was 15. Speedway is located at 215 W. 33rd St. in Hastings.

To win a North 5 jackpot, a player must match all five winning numbers drawn. The winning numbers for the Feb. 21 drawing are 17 – 18 – 28 – 30 – 33. Lake City Kwik Trip, located at 994 W. Lyon Ave., earns a $949 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

In Minnesota, lottery players have one year to claim prizes. Minnesota Lottery prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. All lottery prizes over $50,000 must be claimed at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.

The names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data. Unless the winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released.
