News Release: Double the Celebration
Double the Celebration: Two Players Split $246,326 North 5 Jackpot
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (Dec. 12, 2025) — Excitement doubled this week as two lucky lottery players, one in St. Anthony and one in Franklin, each won $123,163 by matching all five winning numbers in the Dec. 9 North 5 drawing.
The winning tickets were purchased at Holiday Stationstore, located at 3810 Silver Lake Rd. N in St. Anthony, and Franklin Amstar, located at 350 State Hwy. 19 located in Franklin. Both businesses will earn a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
The lucky St. Anthony local, who claimed the ticket on December 10, said, "I was actually scanning a scratch ticket at Holiday when I decided to scan my North 5 ticket too, and the moment that 'Call the Lottery' message popped up, I turned to my wife and said, 'My god, it’s me!'"
The ticket sold in Franklin was claimed on December 11, and the North 5 winner said, “I don’t normally play North 5, but it was getting close to drawing time, and I saw how big the jackpot was getting so I sent my son to get some tickets. I checked back after the drawing and couldn’t believe it.”
The winning North 5 numbers drawn were 02 – 12 – 14 – 23 – 31.
In Minnesota, prize claims must be submitted within one (1) year of the drawing date. Minnesota Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.
Unless the winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released. As of Sept. 1, 2021, the names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data.
