Gopher 5 Jackpot Worth $1,161,960 Won in Finlayson Last Night
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (June 12, 2025) — A very lucky lottery player in Finlayson is Minnesota’s newest millionaire.
A ticket worth $1,161,960 was sold at Petry’s Bait Company, located at 2220 Highway 18, for the June 11 Gopher 5 drawing. The big win earns the store a $5,000 bonus.
The winning Gopher 5 numbers drawn on June 11 are 6-28-29-37-40.
This is Minnesota’s second $1 million Gopher 5 jackpot win in two months. A $1,015,162 Gopher 5 jackpot winning ticket was sold at a Kwik Trip in Woodbury for the April 9 drawing.
In Minnesota, lottery players have one year to claim prizes. The prize must be claimed at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.
Unless the winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released. As of Sept. 1, 2021, the names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data.
Gopher 5 is a Minnesota-only lotto game. Each ticket costs $1 to play. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow until won. The overall odds to win a Gopher 5 jackpot are 1 in 1,533,939. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on drawing days. The Gopher 5 jackpot for Friday, June 13 is an estimated $100,000.
