Lightning Strikes Twice: $1.5 Million Gopher 5 Jackpot Won Days After Record Lotto America Jackpot

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (July 21, 2026) — The Minnesota Lottery is celebrating another major jackpot win after a Gopher 5 ticket matched all five numbers in the July 20 drawing to win a $1,507,682.00 jackpot, just days after the state’s record Lotto America jackpot was won. The back-to-back jackpot wins highlight an extraordinary week for Minnesota lottery players.

The winning ticket was purchased at Cub Foods located at 300 E Travelers Trail in Burnsville. The business earns a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

The Gopher 5 numbers drawn on Monday, July 20 were 27 – 29 – 32 – 28 – 07. The next Gopher 5 jackpot is worth an estimated $100,000.00

In Minnesota, prize claims must be submitted within one (1) year of the drawing date. Minnesota Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment
