Lucky Minnesota Lottery Player Wins $187,366 Gopher 5 Jackpot

Winning Gopher 5 Ticket Sold in Stacy

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (August 21, 2025) — Summer excitement happened recently for a lucky Minnesota Lottery player.

A Gopher 5 ticket worth $187,366 was sold at Kwik Trip, located at 5335 Stacy Trail in Stacy, for the June 20th drawing. The winning Gopher 5 numbers drawn on June 20 were 1 – 12 – 23 – 28 – 40. Kwik Trip earns a $1,874 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

In Minnesota, lottery players have one year to claim prizes. The prize must be claimed at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville within one year of the draw date. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.

Unless the winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released. As of Sept. 1, 2021, the names and cities of lottery prize winners above $10,000 are private data.

Gopher 5 is a Minnesota-only lotto game. Each ticket costs $1 to play. Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow until won. The overall odds to win a Gopher 5 jackpot are 1 in 1,533,939. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. on drawing days to be eligible. The Gopher 5 jackpot for Friday, August 22 is an estimated $100,000.
