Record-Breaking $408,972 North 5 Jackpot Split Between Two Winning Tickets
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (Aug 7, 2026) — Two Minnesota Lottery players made history in last night's drawing, splitting the largest North 5 jackpot won since the game launched. The record-breaking jackpot in the Minnesota-only lotto game was won by tickets sold in Newport and Mankato, with each lucky winner taking home $204,486.
The winning tickets were sold at Hy-Vee located at 220 Popular St in Mankato and Winners Corner located at 1594 Hastings Ave located in Newport. Each business earns a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning tickets.
The North 5 numbers drawn on Wednesday, August 6 were 06 – 18 – 20 - 22 – 23. Both tickets matched all five numbers. The next North 5 jackpot is worth an estimated $25,000. Drawings are held daily at 6:17 p.m.
In Minnesota, prize claims must be submitted within one (1) year of the drawing date. Minnesota Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment
