Two Big Lottery Wins in Minnesota on Saturday

ROSEVILLE, Minn. (Jan. 21, 2025) — A Progressive Print-N-Play jackpot worth almost half a million dollars was sold in North St. Paul and a Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in St. Michael for drawings on Saturday, Jan. 18.

Holiday Stationstores, located at 2438 Margaret St. N. in North St. Paul sold the $436,015 winning Progressive Print-N-Play ticket. The business received a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

Kwik Trip, located at 4400 O’Day Ave. N.E. in St. Michael sold the $50,000 winning Powerball ticket.

Progressive Print-N-Play is an instant-win style ticket printed directly from the lottery terminal. Jackpots start at $5,000 and grow as tickets are sold. Players can choose to play a $1, $3 or $5 Bingo, Crossword or Slots ticket. All progressive games share the same jackpot pool. A $1 ticket pays 20 percent of the jackpot, a $3 ticket pays 60 percent of the jackpot, and a $5 ticket pays 100 percent of the jackpot. Progressive Print-N-Play is only played in Minnesota.

Minnesota Lottery prizes above $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville. Prizes $50,000 and below can be claimed by mail or at any regional office. In Minnesota, lottery players have one year to claim prizes. It is recommended that winners call ahead to check hours and to make an appointment.

Information regarding Minnesota Lottery prize winners above $10,000 is private data. Unless a winner chooses to opt in to publicity, their name and city will not be released.
